More Than Clear Glass

Glass is becoming more and more of a design element inside the home. There continues to be more unique applications of designer glass for divider panels, accents, railing systems and countless other uses. Shower Doors Unlimited can offer many different glass options from hundreds of vendors nationwide. Aside from shower doors we can make glass for splash panels, entry doors, railings, sliding divider walls and closet doors.

The 4 basic categories of designed glass are:

• Cast Glass
  This will be glass that has an actual texture. There are hundreds of designs ranging from a simple rain glass to highly stylized glass with waves and pebble like patterns
  

• Colored Glass
  This glass will be in colors. Bronze, blue and gray glass are typical of colored glass. Colored glass can be used for table tops, doors and any other place clear is used. This glass can be ¼ to ¾ inch thick.

• Acid Etched Glass
  We use this style of glass in many shower and entry door enclosures. The look is often referred to as “frosted” This method of frosting is far superior to sandblasting as the glass is not made porous. Acid etched glass is very durable and extremely uniform in its appearance

• Custom Etched Glass
  This is standard clear glass with a patter designed and sandblasted onto the glass. We have an affiliate that will design and produce the template of the design and etch onsite with a vacuum containment system. The results are beautiful and limitless in design styles. We can do any glass with any pattern.
